Mark Costley

About Mark: I am a Partner of the estate planning and business law firm, Walker Lambe Rhudy & Costley, PLLC, practicing in the areas of estate planning, tax, elder law, and business. My practice involves elements of teaching, strategic analysis and planning, and coaching clients to make decisions and take actions to organize their personal and business affairs.

I enjoy teaching and have given hundreds of presentations on topics including estate planning, asset protection planning, living trusts, health care planning, planning for distributions from IRAs and 401ks, business ethics, special needs trusts, drafting wills, planning with insurance, retirement planning, collection of debts, estate planning issues for the GLBT community, conservation easements, estate planning for farmers and ranchers, and probate and estate administration in North Carolina. I am co-author of the book, Guiding Those Left Behind in North Carolina, as well as numerous manuscripts in the areas of estate planning and business law.

I am married and have two daughters. They keep me busy with their school and sports activities. I am former Board Chairman of the Servant Center, Inc., a nonprofit corporation providing health care services for veterans and the homeless and have served as a Trustee of Duke University.
